Abstract :
In this paper, a systematic approach is developed to derive lamp parameters from experimental data, in order to produce a dynamic fluorescent lamp model using Matlab-Simulink. It can be concluded from experimental and simulation results that the proposed model is adequate to simulate the dynamic behaviour of the lamp. Simulation studies are presented in order to describe the modification of the lamp v-i characteristics produced by the variation of the operating frequency. The definition of a lamp resistivity factor and an ondulation factor of the filtered average lamp power are introduced.
