Abstract :
Algorithms are developed to solve the power allocation problem at the base station (BS) under the constraints of BS transmission power and quality of service (QoS) for single-cell and multiple-cell direct-sequence code-division-multiple-access (DS-CDMA) systems supporting heterogeneous traffic, where a decorrelating detector is employed at the receiver. The presented numerical examples show that the unit transmission power allocation (UTXPA) algorithm offers performance close to that of the optimal algorithm with much reduced computational complexity.
