Abstract :
In this paper, a comparison of several time domain, non data aided (NDA) joint coarse timing offset and fine carrier frequency estimation algorithms for the DVB-T (2k mode) based SFN system are analyzed. The goal is to achieve a timing estimate that avoids intersymbol interference (ISI) in the receiver and a carrier frequency estimate with a small error and standard deviation compared to the subcarrier spacing so that the intercarrier interference (ICI) is negligible in the receiver. Simulations have been performed for four different SFN configurations for fixed and portable reception.
