Abstract :
This paper focuses on supply voltage dependence on power factor correction for industrial facilities. The influence on power factor to supply voltage level, harmonic distortions, harmonic power losses and particularly induction motors harmonic losses is analyzed. The measurement results of voltage harmonics spectrum in industrial 0.4 kV power system are presented. Practical measurements and calculations of high level THDU harmonic losses of an induction motor are analyzed.
