Abstract
In This work small signal intensity (IM) response of hybrid soliton pulse source utilizing Gaussian apodized fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is presented. It has been shown in previous studies that some parameters lead to increase resonance peak spectral splitting (RPSS) in the IM spectra. However, simulation results of this study show that type of external cavity is important effect on RPSS in IM response as well as effect of laser and FBG parameters. The RPSS can be suppressed by using linearly chirped Gaussian apodized FBG as an external cavity instead of Gaussian apodized FBG.
