Abstract
This paper first presents and compares three major broadcast encryption schemes: Direct Approach, Matrix-based Method and Tree-based Scheme. It then focuses on the study and implementation of Subset-Cover Difference method, which is adopted by the widely used content distribution system Advanced Access Content System (AACS). The essence of this broadcast scheme lies in deducing the correct subset difference combination by only taking in the end user node number to be revoked. Finally, this paper suggests the future exploration on a hybrid broadcast encryption method.
