Abstract
The processing of optical signal in optical domain is an important issue resulting from the desire to take advantage of high bit rate, full bandwidth of the optical fiber and avoiding o/e conversions. In this paper we describe the all-optical 3R regeneration system based on two-section DFB laser device and SOA-MZI. We also introduce a new simpler and cost-effective multi-wavelength 3R regeneration scheme in long haul and high capacity optical WDM networks.
