Abstract :
How to provide reliable transmission over unreliable links in sensor networks is an interest challenge. In this paper, a novel nodes-cooperation strategy in network layer for reliable transmission over unreliable-links is studied. The key idea of the proposed strategy is that using multi nodes to receive packets simultaneously and relay packets competitively. It is based on the observation that the broadcast nature of wireless sensor networks has the potential that allows all neighbors receive and process packets simultaneously. Theoretical and experimental analysis demonstrates that the new strategy can provide reliable transmission over unreliable links meanwhile improves the performance of networks significantly.
