Abstract
The classical tension test of 5A06 aluminum alloy from 23°C to 500°C is done on MTS 810 material testing machine. In this paper, the results show that the strain-hardening effects are obvious when temperature below 200°C. Based on the experiment results, the simplified constitutive model JC is established at high temperature. In that model, the effect of strain rate is not be concerned, while the thermal softening is considered.
