Abstract
A pneumatic method of unconstrained heartbeat measurement for vehicle drivers is presented. The high sensitivity of the pneumatic method makes it difficult to apply in the noisy conditions of vehicle driving, so a strategy for noise reduction and cancellation must be considered. We propose a dual sensing system that uses two air mattresses, one for noise and the other for noise and heartbeat. The system reduces noise and improves measurement performance. This novel strategy provides good results
