Abstract :
On the basis of the parabolic approximation the spreading of uniformly excited (on the aperture) elastic wave beams is investigated. The method of presentation of the excitation as a superposition of Gaussian beams is used. The effect of the nearfield oscillation of the amplitude and phase of the elastic wave beams is accounted for
