Abstract :
Effective impedance boundary conditions for acoustic and electromagnetic scattering in a thin unbounded curved layer with different surface impedances are considered. Explicit forms of the first-order approximate boundary conditions are derived for a two-dimensional case. The methodology of investigation is based on the method of matched asymptotic expansions with the thickness-to-diameter ratio as the perturbation parameter
