Abstract :
Steganalysis, the official countermeasure to steganography, is the art of detecting or decoding hidden data within a given medium. The paper puts forward a new method on steganalysis that can make it easy to discover the hidden information in a sea of data. Our method is called "using steganography techniques to attack steganography". To apply this technique, we propose a new watermark algorithm on network traffic data, which satisfies: (1) sensitivity; (2) invisibility; (3) simplicity. We also discuss how to use our algorithm to detect the covert channel made by network intruders. The further applicability of our method is also discussed.
