  • Abstract
    The construction of the hierarchical and open system is achieved for the overall process automation control system. The upper automation system is introduced to adjust the setting point of the lower automation system using the various decision-making methods and is connected with the lower automation system to make the hierarchical and overall process automation system. In this paper, the upper intelligent control system is developed for the upper automation system adopting the neural network method and is proposed to apply to the continuous process control for the optimal and real time decision-making. And the object oriented method of the UML(Unified Modelling Language) is used for the reuse and the extendibility of the upper intelligent control system. The developed system was applied the real plant for the coagulant dosing process in water purification system
