Abstract :
In this short paper, five different interactive technologies used to teach courses synchronously online will be showcased and demonstrated. These five technologies are Polycom PVX, Horizon Wimba Virtual Classroom, MediaSite, SharedView, and Skype. The advantages and disadvantages of these technologies will be discussed. This presentation will promote global education and will introduce opportunities for educators to maintain the interaction in the classroom while providing an option for the students to take classes online.
