Abstract
In Maharashtra, the heavy penetration level of grid connected wind energy has been used and due to this, the power quality of electric power system gets affected. This paper is described the Power Quality Disturbance Analysis of Grid Connected Wind Energy by using wavelet Transform. The effect of wind speed on power quality of grid connected wind energy of a case study system has been described. due to increased the number of grid connected Induction generators, the requirement of reactive power is increased, voltage level is decreased and system power factor get decreased. This paper shows that, how the different power quality disturbances are identify by using wavelet transform and their analysis is explained. This paper is described the impact of different wind speed on different power quality issues of grid connected wind energy. The Energy losses due to power quality disturbance of grid connected wind energy are concluded.
