Abstract
In this article the previously proposed notch filtering approach for localization of brain signal sources is extended and combined with complex frequency domain BSS to simultaneously localise and separate the audio sources. Unlike many other methods for solving the permutation problem meant for speech signals (due to continuity of spectrum for adjacent frequency bins) the method here can be applied to all types of audio sources. Significant improvement over the results of previously developed techniques using combined BSS and beamforming has been achieved and the comparison results illustrated.
