Abstract :
To produce synthetic quartz crystals for high-quality resonators the selection of seeds is employed, together with synthetic charge concentration and the addition of lithium salts. The result is the serial production of the material with a Q-value greater than 2.4 million and etch channel density of less than 100 cm-1. Quartz testing methods and hydrothermal etching are described
