Abstract :
The improvement of piezoquartz properties obtained under conditions of electric field and high temperature (so-called sweeping) is not irreversible because of the essential contribution in the sweeping process of the polarization effects with great relaxation times. Depolarization, the rate of which exponentially increases vs. temperature, causes long-term ageing of resonators made of swept quartz
