Abstract :
Matched filter detection is one of the spectrum sensing techniques in cognitive radio system that facilitate to detect vacancies in spectrum frequency. Matched filter is the optimal way to detect the spectrum hole from the information of the primary user. In this paper the primary user information is based on the Multimedia Communication (MCMC) data. Spectrum sensing is carrying out on the GSM 900 bands to identified the potential spectral opportunities for cognitive radio applications.
