Abstract :
A lumped parameters dynamic model for the analysis of the thermal behaviour of induction motors, based on the machine geometrical dimensions, is proposed. In particular, the aim of the paper is to present a valid instrument to estimate the thermal behaviour of induction motors designed for the propulsion systems of electric vehicles (EVs). The validity of the model has been verified by means of experimental activity on a test bench, and the measured temperatures have been compared with the simulation results
