Abstract
As a continuous variable transmission, the authors proposed a fluid switching transmission (EST). In this study, the process of developing the control system for the EST using hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HIES) is studied. The precise simulation model of EST was proposed at first. In the simulation model, dynamics and torque loss of the components were considered. In the HIES, the simulation model was run in real time as a target of the controller to be developed. The design process and experimental results using the HIES are discussed in this paper
