Abstract :
The embolization of the large or wide-necked aneurysm is sometimes difficult with simple microcatheter technique. This study was conducted to evaluate the use of the stent-assisted technique for the intracranial aneurysms in 6 cases. Methods: Between August 2010 and December 2010, 6 patients with unruptured aneurysms were treated with stent-assisted technique using Enterprise VRD®. Results: All cases were technically successful without any complications during intravascular surgery; post operative period one case was suffered from minor stroke. Conclusion: Stent-assisted embolization using with Enterprise VRD® is useful for the intractable cases such large and wide-necked aneurysms. This technique in the selected patients is considered as an alternative reconstructive treatment.
