  • Abstract
    A connected component detector cellular neural network array chip with full optical input and output is described. The chip is based on a hybrid integration of gallium arsenide quantum well modulators on CMOS silicon circuitry. The circuit design and simulation results are presented. An optical demonstration system is also described
