  • Abstract
Various commodities that support the senior citizen physically and psychologically have appeared by the coming of the aged society now. Moreover, it begins to be gradually applied to the assistance equipment and technical system and aids for disabled or handicapped persons that assists and recover the decline and the paralysis of physical strength foe the senior citizen recently. Because the user installs directly and the equipment is used when the mechatoronics technology is applied to the assistance rehabilitation, physical safety and a psychological sense of security are requested from such equipment. Many of them are equipped directly by the user. "Air pressure type artificial muscle (air actuator)" is mentioned as a thing with which it is soft like man\´s muscles with a thing and viscoelasticity is similar to muscles. It was assumed that the operation of the turn of the forearm was generated in the operation generation of the arm besides basic operation such as the winding, progress, and raising and lowering the shoulder. A lot of operation of the turn is used in actual life. The muscle uses several kinds of pronator and supinator muscles centering on the muscle of the forearm. Therefore, it is thought also in rehabilitation that operation of revolution will be significant. In this research, operation about crookedness of a basic elbow joint, expansion and taking up and down of the shoulder, and revolution of an forearm part is generated using artificial muscles in operation of an arm
