Abstract :
This contribution presents a switchable-beam reflectarray antenna with gathered elements arranged by pairs using different lattices, with the aim of reducing the grating lobes produced by the grouping. The electronic control is implemented by the introduction of ohmic MEMS devices in a microstrip line which is coupled through an aperture to a square patch. In the proposed configuration, more than the fifty percent of the MEMS can be saved, reducing the cost, manufacturing complexity and grating lobes level.
