Abstract :
Any plant involving the processing of flammable mixtures, liquids and gases has to have an area classification undertaken in order that the risk zones can be properly assigned. Once this has been carried out, the project then passes to the design team which embraces all disciplines. The author explains the significant of the specification, testing and application of flameproof electrical safety enclosures for use in hazardous atmospheres
