Abstract :
Ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas such as compact vivaldi antennas has been applied to the simulation experiment of breast cancer detection. A commercial-made synthetic breast phantom model is used in our experiment. We can find that it is effective to detect the breast cancer tumor using vegetable gelatin model subtraction method. Image reconstructions of the breast models using reflection data have been performed by use of confocal microwave imaging (CMI) technique.
