Abstract
Regarding the liquid crystal phased array component (LCPAC) of lidar, how to select a certain amount scanning angles and make the light-beams of all scanning angles meet the scanning indexes is a brand-new problem. This paper presents a method of scanning angles screening based on a beamsteering model of binary grating, which is used to control the light-beam steering of LCPAC. According to the method, the scanning angles are screened out by using a traversal algorithm and taking the uniform coverage of the field of view, maximum sidelobe level, diffraction efficiency as constraint conditions. The simulation results for light-beams of all scanning angles show that the method is effective and feasible.
