Abstract :
Many realistic networks can be characterized as complex networks and the scale-free feature of complex networks has been discussed to analyze its behavior. A scale-free network is thought to be robust to random attack, but an initial attack can also trigger a global cascade. We study how the cascade spreads in a scale-free coupled map lattices. We investigate how to stop the cascade spreading and found that the greater distance a node has, the more time it has to block the cascade. We also propose a protection mechanism to block the cascade trend and limit the number of failed nodes.
