Abstract :
In this paper, an indoor MIMO channel model for 5 GHz, which is the frequency band for wireless local network (WLAN) applications, is presented. From the system level, we have simulated and analysed the coverage requirement for the interest of the area, extracted statistics of angular spread (AS) for the angle-of-arrival (AoA) and angle-of-departure (AoD). In addition, the simulation result of the channel capacity for 2 × 2 and 4 × 4 system is given in which we can see the impact of deployment of MIMO antenna arrays is significant.
