Abstract
The circularly polarized antenna using hexagonal radiating apertures was proposed, and the bandwidth for the axial ratio less than 3 dB was 6.4%. We have proposed the circular aperture array antenna for increasing the axial ratio bandwidth. In this paper, the design of the radiating part for the circular aperture array is presented. We analyze a 16×16-element antenna with the designed radiating part, the input part and the conventional feeding circuits. The axial ratio is less than 3 dB from 55 GHz to 65 GHz, and the bandwidth for VSWR less than 1.5 is 13.3%.
