Abstract :
Nowadays more and more research groups are focusing their attention to realize cell injection process automatically. One of the key technologies is how to separate cells and fix them one by one without damage to a cell holding device. This paper presents three new designs: The first design can be used to separate cells one by one, working together with a specially designed cell holder; the second design will automate the whole cell injection process on this one device; the third design works similar to the first design, but separates cells more efficiently. The results of simulations with FLOW 3D provide confidence to develop the real model to carry out experiments for the future work.
