Abstract
A very accurate and sensitive optical power meter which operates in a wavelength range from 400 to 1800 nm and in a wide temperature range has been developed. The authors have achieved a very high reliability by not using mechanical components, such as optical choppers or reed relays, in the fiber-optic heads. The temperature dependence of the photodiode spectral response has been compensated to obtain an accurate measurement in a wide temperature range
