Abstract :
A control strategy is implemented to control the speed of a motor-driven belt conveyor so that a suboptimal solution of maximizing manufactured products is achieved. The control strategy includes two fuzzy logic controllers. The first fuzzy logic controller control the motor speed based on stagnation condition at each working area while the second one control the motor speed based on the defective rate of manufactured products. The conveyor is intelligently driven subject to workers working ability. If it is detected that workers are able to handle current working load for certain interval, the speed of belt conveyor is suitably increased
