Abstract :
In this paper, a maximum likelihood based parameter estimation method is proposed to apply with V-shaped planar antenna array for localisation of near-field radiating sources. We propose a novel approach which does not require any additional pair matching technique to obtain estimated parameter pairs. Also, a detection method is proposed here to identify the presence of the number of sources to be localised. Performance of the proposed method is investigated by using simulations.
