Abstract
A design for a very-high-power (100-kW), very-wide-bandwidth (92 to 100 GHz) millimeter wave upgrade to the existing Haystack imaging radar is presented. The major emphasis is on investigating the prospects for using fast wave devices as the high-power amplifier of the radar. Some other design considerations and performance estimates are presented.
