Abstract :
The open and standards-based integrated communications is the most basic of technologies in the all key technology areas of smart distribution grid. It is not only the basic of other key technologies, but also the key supporting technology of smart distribution grid. According to the research on the development status of integrated communications at home and abroad and combined with development requirements of domestic smart distribution grid, it expounds the firm leading position of high speed, two-way, fully integrated communications network in smart distribution grid and summarizes some of new integrated communications technologies that some are commercially available and others are still under the development and study. It analyses and sums up existing problems in the distribution grid communication network and uses next generation network technology to construct the broadband digital integrated communications network to achieve communication fusion and services fusion. And considered from the electric power companies, consumers and power grid itself, it summarizes and analyses the benefits that will be available from the implementation of integrated communications in smart distribution grid.
