Abstract :
To investigate the non-symmetric effects on the implosion motion and the stabilities of the burning wave in the fuel layer in a target, two-dimensional simulations are carried out by using the spherical coordinate. The phenomena are assumed to be symmetric around the polar axis. For the case in which the implosion is not spherically symmetric and the real implosion center is deviated from the spherical center, the value of radius τ is allowable to take a negative value for a given direction. The results show that the non-symmetric implosion motion invites the increase in the local fuel temperature and density. Thus the burning fraction rather increases with the non-symmetric degree of the implosion motion of the fuel in the case of a target with a practical size for fusion
