Abstract
Computer simulations with the 2.5D version of the nonstationary KADI2D particle-in-cell code based on boundary-fitted grids have been started. Different numerical experiments have been carried out to study the time-dependent behavior of the externally applied-B ion diode. Typical simulation results for the self-consistent formation and development of the bipolar flow are reported. Comparisons with stationary BFCPIC simulations and with experimental data are presented
