Abstract
The concept of a near-range primary radar network (NRN) for the noncooperative guidance of airport surface traffic is presented. The requirements and the features of the main components are described. In order to demonstrate the performance of the method, and its flexibility in view of the compatibility to different airport scenarios, simulation results are presented.
