Abstract
Predictive control systems have gained vast popularity for its enormous advantages. In this article steps of design and implementation of a linear predictive controller in Niroo Research Institute (NRI) are discussed. This system utilizes a software program for process identification, control parameters determination, controller simulation and finally managing running system performance. It also includes hardware that is a computing board for supervising on-line operations. Considering real systems requirements and amount of calculation needed for controlling algorithm, effort has been made to implement a suitable system that meets the requirement of such systems. Implemented system successfully tested on a diffusion furnace with 3 inputs and 3 outputs.
