This paper describes a model, proven effective in several companies, to convert or transform electrical safety regulations and standards into electrical safe work practices. Examples are included to illustrate how one can interpret and convert standards. This paper also details how the use of typical work examples and identifying various personal and other protective equipment for the tasks to be done could ensure compliance with the work practices and enhance electrical safety for workers and equipment
