Abstract :
This paper presents a Sliding mode control applied to fault-tolerant PMSM drive system. It proposes a fast method of fault switches detection in the power converters. The considered drive is composed of three phase star-connected PMSM and a four leg three phases inverter when the fourth leg is permanently clamped to the neutral point of the machine. The fault tolerance is achieved by using the sliding mode controllers to achieve a best performance in the degraded mode. Simulated results demonstrate the validity of the strategies proposed.
