Abstract
As a new type buck converter, it contain high efficiency and high stability, we used Multi-stage switch to improve efficiency. This circuit can adjusted based on the load amount to determine the number of power MOSFET pulse on. So this design have good efficiency, under any load conditions. This circuit is working on 20M Hz, and this type of frequency can make inductor very small to reduce chip´s size. Efficiency is 81% in light load; is 86% in heavy load. This was designed and simulated using 0.35 micron TSMC 2P4M 5V technology, with a chip area 6.83mm2.
