  • Abstract
Automatic modulation recognition systems represent an interesting issue for both civilian and military applications. In this paper it is presented an original technique for automatic recognition of analog modulated signals. The technique is intend for real-time systems using general-purpose processors and is based on a modified decision-theoretic approach. It is robust and efficient with a processing time overhead that still allows the processor to maintain its real-time operating objectives. Tests and simulations using a noisy channel show that the SNR threshold for the analogue and digital modulation classifier is approximately 10 dB, which represents a very good performance. The LabVIEW versatility and attractive interface represents another advantages of the realized application.
