Abstract :
An implementation of a vocoder at very low bit rate with high quality on TMS320VC33DSP is presented in this paper. Through the technique of partial fixing-point, assembly instructions and mathematical optimization, the memory cost is reduced to fit the target on chip memory capacity and the operation complexity takes only 1/4 of the whole operation ability, meeting the requirement of real-time.
