Abstract
In this paper, a novel low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) based microfluidic potentiometric detector is presented. The micro analysis system consisting of integrated ion selective electrodes (ISEs) is destined for potassium ion determination in biological fluids. The shape of the fluidic channels and electrodes spacing is designed based on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis. Presented microfluidic detector can work as stand-alone device or can be applied as a part of integrated muTAS (micro-total analysis system). The performance of the detector with integrated ISE electrodes sensitive to potassium ions is described.
