Abstract :
Software modeling of transmission of power electrical energy from the source via the traction transformer station, contact line to the traction vehicle allows to analyse various operating conditions of the AC single-phase railway supply in terms of its impact on the power supply system. Asymmetric loading of three-phase power system is one of these effects. This paper assesses the benefits of installation of the Scott transformer in traction transformer stations as one of the means for reducing asymmetry in the power supply system.
