Abstract :
The paper deals with the hydrogen production and comparison of the impact of the different processes for hydrogen production via life cycle analysis. Four processes were evaluated and compare - two water splitting thermo-chemical cycles which use solar energy as a main energy source and two conventional processes for hydrogen production, pyrolysis and gasification. Main impact categories, which were evaluated, are human health, ecosystem quality, and the saving of primary energy resources.
